FAQ
Whats the difference between the T8282 and the T8285?
The main difference between the 2 is the band it uses to connect to the HSDPA (3G services) to browsing. The HD has been launched in Australia exclusively to Telstra which is the T8285 version with 850/2100 3G Bands. The T8285 only works with the Telstra\'s / US providers 850Mhz 3G band.
The T8282 is imported from Europe and it uses the 900/2100 Mhz 3G band which is used by all other network providers - 3, Vodafone, Optus and Virgin, etc.
So, I guess it depends which provider your looking to use.
i.e. Telstra(T8285) OR Others (T8282)
Please note that all the basic features of the phone like Phone calls,SMS,Voicemail and GPRS/EDGE will work not matter which phone you buy and which provider you use.
The other differences are the Tesltra ROM which includes a couple of extra Telstra related programs and a Telstra logo on the back cover instead of the HTC logo.
