The Nokia N900 with Linux-based Maemo software takes us into a new era of mobile computing.
This powerful device comes with a 600MHz ARM processor, 1GB of application memory and operates on the Linux Maemo 5 system. All of these features combined give you the ability to smoothly run multiple applications simultaneously. This ’raw power’ combines well with the large storage capabilities of the Nokia N900. The built-in storage is a massive 32GB, the largest available on a mobile device of this kind on the current market. This memory size is large enough to store up to 7,000 songs or 48 hours of DVD quality video. And, if this isn’t enough, you can extend the storage capacity by another 16GB via the microSD expansion slot.
The internet connectivity of the N900 will give you better options than ever before for accessing online content, rivalling data transfer speeds of a household broadband connection. The data transfer speed over a WiFi connection reaches up to 54 Mbps, while a cellular network will provide up to 10 Mbps via 3.5G connectivity. The N900 is compatible with Flash 9.4, giving you the ability to access a much wider range of interactive content, a feature previously unavailable on most devices. Full-screen browsing is also supported on the 3.5-inch WVGA touchscreen.
The high-quality digital camera of the Nokia N900 makes the most of its 5 Megapixel capability. The large Carl Zeiss lens and dual-LED flash will give your photos and videos great clarity and sharpness. The TV-Out connection will then allow you to share any captured media with friends and family on a large screen. To add to this, the Nokia N900 will provide you with A-GPS support through its pre-installed Nokia Ovi Maps service. The feature set doesn’t end there, with applications such as RSS reader, Filemanager, PDF reader and widgets giving you constant access to information and updates.
