Overview of HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio
The HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio is the new and improved version of the HTC Sensation. The Sensation XE is the first handset to be released since HTC’s announcement last month that it had bought a majority share in the Dr. Dre owned company.
The HTC Sensation XE picks up where its predecessor left off, but offers some impressive enhancements. The dual-core processor has been improved to 1.5GHz, the battery life has been increased and needless to say, there is Beats Audio hardware and in-ear headphones included with the device.
The audio quality on the original Sensation is good to say the least, but with Beats Audio hardware and earphones, the Sensation XE promises to deliver studio quality performance. Upon plugging in the Beats Audio earphones, the XE switches to a profile that utilises the Beats Audio hardware, delivering the best possible sound in a smartphone.
The battery power of the Sensation XE also receives a welcome boost, bumped up to 1730mAh, which delivers up to 550 minutes of talk time. However, it’s not just the internals that have had a redesign - the new Sensation XE features a black and red colour scheme to keep its appearance synonymous with the Beats Audio brand.
The remainder of the HTC Sensation XE feature set remains the same as that of its predecessor; HTC Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4.3" qHD touch screen and DLNA. There’s also an 8MP camera with auto focus and dual LED flash that can record 1080p video, a front facing camera and TV out via MHL.
