The Motorola Pro Plus is the follow up to the Droid Pro/Motorola Pro, which did not make it to UK shores. However, demand for a device of this nature is such that Motorola has decided to release its successor, the Motorola Pro Plus.

The Motorola Pro Plus is an Android business phone that offers a unique form factor. Its candybar design will be tempting to not only the business user, but anyone who sends a lot of texts or emails.

While there are several Android handsets with a physical QWERTY keyboard, there are not so many that have a portrait set of keys on the front of the device. The portrait QWERTY keyboard has been popularised by BlackBerry handsets and is loved by both business and social users. Take the popularity of this form factor and add the Android OS to it and you’ve got the great looking device that is the Motorola Pro Plus.

The Pro Plus features the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, a 1GHZ processor and a scratch-proof, 3.1-inch, Corning Gorilla Glass capacitive touchscreen. Motorola has now released several successful Android handsets and the Pro Plus looks to continue the popularity that has been created by devices such as the DEFY and Milestone 2. It features 4GB on-board memory, 5MP Camera with LED flash and the ability to remote wipe the device and SD card.

Also included with the Motorola Pro Plus is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the usual suite of Google services. Video can be captured at 480p (DVD quality) and there’s a 3.5mm port for connecting a set of earphones.
